The cashier THREW my receipt at me!!. The cashier threw my receipt at me! And then he proceeded to tell me that he never wanted to see me in his restaurant again. Unbelievable.

I ordered a small katsudon and I got my order, only to see that he had made a katsu. So I took it back to him and asked him to make what I ordered. And he kept telling me, "NO! YOU ORDERED A KATSU!! THAT'S WHAT YOU TOLD ME!" And then I told him to either make it or give me my money back. And so he rang up my total WITHOUT the 50 cent surcharge on my visa he had originally charged. So I told him that he didn't give me 50 cents. And so he looked through the receipts, put the money back on my visa, THREW the food he made me (more like slammed) in the trash, and THREW my return receipt at me. I was just so appalled and I was like, "I don't understand why you are angry. I ordered a katsudon." And he said, "NO! You ordered a katsu. I never want to see you in my restaurant again!!"

Don't believe me? Ask the people working there. I'm sure they remember me today. I will do this man a favor and never return to his restaurant again. Never in my life have I been treated with such disrespect. I am appalled and horrified.

Just a warning: If you ordered something and they mess it up, prepare to be told off. Or be told that YOU are wrong. The only other place I've ever been talked to and told I was wrong was at Stanford's in Northgate Mall. WOW. I'm amazed at how these people even stay in business with that kind of attitude.

I would give this zero stars but it does not seem to be possible.

Good Hawaiian? No lyin.... This is just great Hawaiian food and super cheap prices. There's not a lot of places in the Seattle area that do offer Hawaiian fare, and this place serves up some of the best. They're just so cool in there and the food's so great! Pictures all around to show the food! Come on in and grab some grub! You won't be disappointed! Don't be turned off by the appearance of this place... It doesn't look like the first place you want to stop for food, but the value's in the food, not the architecture. Right on "the Ave." so it's convenient for students at the UW.

this place will stay around!. ..or at least as long as Chang decides to. Chang has been making 'ono grindz for the last 7 years for me. He's awesome! It's a great place to have in the University neighborhood, and I have made many a stop throughout the years. If you don't know what to order, try the mix plate. It'll have a little bit of everything. Call in and place your order if you want to just stop by and pick it up. He even stays open late night for those of us who can't seem to find our way home and are oh-so-hungry!

Best Hawaiian (Local) food in the state of Washington. Chang has the best food in Washington. Delicious, cheap, and huge plates. Better than Kauia restaurant, L&L, name it all. He's da man.

Fabulous hole-in-the-wall. Great food, great service. Don't be fooled by the beaten up look of the restaurant. The food is authentic hawaiian and cheaply priced
