Disappointing Dinner. We've been to Paul's Place several times in the past, usually with good results. The ambiance is quaint and cozy, albeit a bit tattered. For some reason, although we were indoors we were way too busy swatting flies away. The homemade bread is always excellent. My salmon, however, was bland and completely devoid of the crabmeat promised on the menu. The mocha creme brulee sounded great, but tasted like a gelatinous cup of coffee. The worst part was the curt attitude and lack of warmth of the waitress. Both my companion and myself, having worked as waitresses before, both agreed that she needed a new line of work. Eating at Paul's can be a hit or miss affair. Unfortunately there is too much competition to take that risk and being made to feel like you're a nuisance to boot.
