A no-frills pit stop for the college crowd delivers speedy Japanese favorites.. In Short Patrons order from the back-lit pictoral menu displaying the usual suspects in neon glory: udon soup, tempura, sushi and katsu--although more hard-to-find items like thick Japanese curry are also available. The lunch crowd of students and assorted UW faculty sit at the red-topped tables, or take in the view of the Ave from the counter along the window. Water, utensils and napkins are available from the bussing station near the register.
