Great Lunch Buffet!!. So Delicious!! I love to go for the lunch buffet because it's such a bargain! The food is seasoned rather mild to accomodate all tastes - you can spice it up with the seasoning placed in a large bowl. So tasty and fresh vegetables, the spring rolls are the best anywhere. I have taken my carnivore friends and unadventurous eaters and all love it. The family staff is very friendly and try to make you feel at home. I have met the owner and she is an artist with food.

worst customer service I think I've ever seen.... A friend and I met to try this place out since from the sound of all the reviews they have amazing food... upon arrival we were given water and menus then somehow we were completely forgotten about. Although we were sitting near where the hub of all the employees seemed to be we were not approached ONCE about taking our order. My friend and I were talking for awhile, just catching up, until we realized that no one had come by the table. We had definetly put our menus down and were looking around for some service... still NOTHING. When we realized it had been over half and hour we decided it wasn't even worth it to try to beg a server to take our order - so we left and walked to Thai Tom where we didn't have to wait at all!

Too bad - the food is supposed to be so good! I would still like to try it maybe someday... if they learn how to provide a bit of customer service.

Truly exceptional thai. Both service and food were very prompt, and the wait-staff was sociable and friendly. The menu is extensive, and the food was fantastic! Even for a city full of good thai restaurants, the flavor at Araya was exceptional. The spiciness was slightly underdone: one must convince the servers that you DO like heat.

the ONLY reason why we live in SEATTLE!!!. This has been a favorite for the both of us even before we knew one another. We have been Araya's faithful patrons since the old location and up to the new location. We would follow Araya's around the world! If ever in a different country dinning at a vegetarian restaurant we think, "hmmm... lovely! but too bad there isn't Araya's Vegan Thai close by." It is truly why we'll even base ourselves in Seattle. The food is exquisite and the people are beautiful sweethearts. It is a bigger location because, understandably, more people need to eat there. And having working in food service ourselves we won't be the yuppies complaining about slow service (speed freaks!) It's a wonder no one will do anything about the substance problem amongst the rich and board! Well, as we said, if it weren't for Araya's we'd leave this damned city at once! We would also be dead. Araya's is a sanctuary and anyone who says otherwise is blasphemous! You don't live a hundred or so years without developing discerning taste and level world views. Go to Hell, New Money!

Sincerely,

Constance Weatherbeam & Patience Please

Best and Only Vegan Thai. The food here is excellent. The Buffet is simple and well done. The dinner entrees are a little more for price (13.00 for the one I had). The atmosphere is good and they just moved to a new cleaner building. Try it out.

Vegetarian's Delight. My fiance and I have eaten here three times now sampling different dishes with each visit. Let me tell you the food here is amazing, their Tom Yum is amazing and is the drunken mushrooms. We joke about the meat substitute being better than meat, this place is very satisfying not matter what your mood is. The food is not the only thing we have enjoyed at this restuarant either, the atmosphere is very nice and service has always been excellent. Definitely one of the shining stars in the Seattle area. Absolutely wonderful!

Good food, bad service. The food at Araya is great, but the service, which was excellent at their old location, is now consistently terrible.

The servers ignore you until you get up and find them, they forget to put orders in for your food, so you get half of it right away and half with your bill. I really wish they would work on this, because I won't go back there until service improves.
