Very impressed with the food, the shih kabobs were the best I've ever tasted, and the saffron rice was very tasty. The location is good to people-watch, and the experience was very Lebanese, both in ambiance and food. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The food was excellent but we weren't able to enjoy our meal. We wandered into Sahara before a movie Saturday, and had ample time for dinner (2 1/2 hours). We almost left due to the fact that noone came to our table for 20 minutes. After finally ordering we sat for another 1 & 45 minutes, watching the four parties that had come in after us get their meals. Finally, with a 1/2 hour to spare before the movie started, I said something. They did bring out our food a few minutes later. Everything was cold. The flavor was great, but we weren't able to enjoy it. We had to scarf everything down in under 10 minutes. I was very disappointed and will not recommend Sahara. When I go out to eat and spend a $30 a person I expect excellent, attentive service.

Citysearch reviews lead me to this sweet little restaurant - and I wasn't dissapointed. :) The food is as good as everyone says it is. I had the gyro plate and a bowl of lentil soup to start. The soup is top notch. The gyro plate was smaller than I expected for the price, but it was very good. Nicely done strips of lamb, tasty rice, pita and great hummus. The pita could've been warmed up a bit, but that's fine. From the outside, the restaurant looks a little dicey, but the interior is nicely done. White table linens and middle eastern decor. Our server was the most polite and friendly waiter I've ever met. This is a great place. I'd recommend larger portions, though.
