I heard that the Sand Point Grill is under new management, and had some special deal for kids, so I thought I'd go and check it out. I ordered the risotto because I'm a fan of Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen and I wanted to try it out. What I got was what seemed an appetizer sized plate of rice, peas, and bacon (no sides with risotto). It tasted very good, but that was $20.00 including tax and tip, and when I got home I had to put a bunch of chicken nuggets in the toaster oven to finish dinner for the night. Hey, it's rice and peas and bacon bits! Any idea how much of this dish I could have made myself with $20.00? There would be plenty of profit margin left if the portion was twice as much, and this would be a four star review instead of two. So, if you really crave the expience of spending a lot of money for a little tasty food, this is the place for you.

If you're not afraid to spend a little extra, Sandpoint grill has wonderful entrees! Very fresh, local vegetables and fruits used. I recommend saving room for dessert, you're not to be disappointed! The pumpkin ice cream was heavenly!

The first time I went to this restaurant, I loved it, and I was sure that it would become one of my regulars. The decor is very chic and modern, and the servers are friendly. However, as I continued to come here, I began to notice that every time I sat down for a quiet meal, some family would walk in with a young baby or a toddler who would inevitably start screaming half way through my meal. It's hard to take a restaurant with a large bar and a mature design scheme seriously when they offer mac n' cheese, and allow two-year-olds to run around their dining room at 7 PM hitting their patrons with balloons. I've since started to think of this place as a Chuck E Cheese in nice clothing.
