Rude and unfriendly staff. The door keeper was very rude to some of my friends in a group of 20+. He used expletives toward us. When one of the girls showed her ID and asked that all she wanted to used the restroom he said to get out of there and find an alley. This was on a friday at around 9:30 there were about 15 people inside. My group has been very loyal to this place since September of last year. Inspite of it, they told us that they've been in business for 76 years and didn't need our money. I don't mind roughness but there is no place for arrogance or disrespect for women.

BEER HUNTER!!!. i'm giving this place 5 stars for one reason and one reason only - beer hunter. go to the bar, get a stamp card, start ordering beers. there are 40 different beers to drink. easy enough. i've had way more than 40 beers at other bars and they have yet to reward me with my name on a plaque or give me a hat.

The abundance of beer, pizza and burgers at this U-District pub has non-students wanting to relive those college days.. In Short
It's not fancy, but the Duchess draws in the U-Dub students like cows to pasture. The grazing includes pizza, burgers and other fried delights like fish and chips. An open main room lends itself to checking out the weekend university crowd, and a trio of pool tables in back offer a sporty diversion from just plain drinking. Twelve craft beers, two imports and six mega-lagers grace the taps.

Friday night, too empty!. My friends and I went to the Duchess on a Friday night, and it never really got that busy. The drinks were really watered down, I had to buy 4 to some bars' one. The bartender had to look up how to make a Sex on the Beach-- come on!! It's an okay place to meet friends at, but if you're looking to meet people, or to party, pick a different bar!

thursday night...too crowded. The only night I have been to the duchess has been on thursday. I think its too crowded but its alright. I don't go there too often, only when my friends make me. I'm just not a bar girl, I would rather go to a club. This is a good place to hit on your local drunk frat boys if your that type of gal...there sure is plenty of them. The best sports bar is All American and Dante's. Tuesday at All American is the only place to be, and dante's is just good fun!
