A World's Fair-era motel made good..
The Scene
This 102-room former motor hotel in the University District is one of the many relics left over from when the World's Fair came to town. Although it still looks like a motel from the outside, the inside tells a different story, beginning with the lobby, which feels more like a living room than simply the place to hand over your credit card.
The Details
The older, traditional rooms overlook the pool and still seem a bit like old motel rooms that have been spruced up for company. The newer, deluxe rooms give the hotel a more modern feel with funky windows that come to a point, lots of natural light and sitting areas with a table and two chairs. The inn also offers complimentary wireless Internet.

Great value.
Nice young staff, free wireless internet, pool, nice breakfast, free parking and comfortable rooms (with 27" tv) all for a good price.
Update: we returned on July 2007. The hotel remains a great place. It's nice to know that the high standards are kept and that the hotel survives the test of time.

great place for you Husky parents.
I first found the University Inn as mom of a UW freshman. The staff is friendly, and the location is wonderful. The continental breakfast is more than hearty, and the pool in the summer is fantastic. I would highly recommed this hotel to any parent visiting their students.
