With a catalog of more than 70,000 titles there is, quite literally, something for everyone at this famous video store, from the latest blockbusters to obscure experimental flicks and everything in between. The main floor contains new releases, foreign films and movies organized by director; rooms upstairs have specific niche categories like gangster films and anime. Don't know where to start? Scarecrow's got it all, from the newest releases to almost every TV show to foreign films to the most obscure movies in the world. Sometimes the layout can be confusing, as there's a big "director's section" when you walk in and a lot of films are in there so you have to know the director, but the staff is friendly and helpful (not film snobs at all) and are happy to help you find what you're looking for. Also watch out for out-of-print movies: You have to leave a $150 deposit a lot of the time. But other than that, it's simply one of the best stores out there. And if you have a KEXP membership, you get a free rental with every rental!

Pros: Wide selection, Great service, Fun atmosphere

Cons: Parking can be a nightmare, Can be confusing

Scarecrow is a great video store. It has a huge selection and the rental prices and procedures are pretty reasonable. I bought anime and some other older videos from here. I like the fact that they have new, old, and hard to find videos. I wish I knew about this place sooner.

Pros: Wide selection, nice staff people, good prices

Cons: na
