Quality issues...
by DkCook at Citysearch
This store is a great "stuff" store. They have a lot of great little things to buy as gifts or to decorate your house (if you're in to that sort of thing).
However...we recently bought a sleeper sofa from them that turned out to be pretty bad quality. We only had it for about a month before it started to sag. We even reinforced the seat with a length of plywood, but the back and the cushions themselves continued to deteriorate. It wasn't a hugely expensive sofa, at under $2,000, but still a lot of money for something we had to get rid of six months after it was bought.
Bottom line - if it's something purely aesthetic, go for it, but stay away from functional items.
Bait and Switch Prices
by lisanne53 at Citysearch
On a very busy Ballard Sunday. I waited in line 10 minutes to purchase a blanket. The wait was not a problem. But, the price was. The price tag said ?$48.00???Oh?this is mismarked?it?s $98.00.? Not happy Christmas shopping, waiting in line so that the price could be switched once I got to the register. I certainly didn?t buy it.

I like this place because of the jewelry. They also has napkins for six dollars!!!!!!! The service was great. this is the place to shop if you are just leaving your house and buying an apartment. I do like this place.
Something for everyone

This is more of a merchantile than a boutque. If you want to buy a couch, they have catalogs. If you want to buy a rug, they have samples. I spend an average of 1 hour in this store because they have so much to offer and it's really fun exploring their shelves, samples and sitting on the chairs. Don't be thrown off by the suburban housewife style as there are always urban treasures to be had.
