Amazing Place for a Romantic Night Out

My boyfriend took me here for Valentine's Day. As we drove up to the restaurant we saw a line out the door. We had reservations but knew we would have to wait. Fortunately, the wait was not all that long, 15 minutes. While we were waiting, we watched the staff who were working like clock work together. Things seemed to be running smoothly.

We were seated in a cozy corner in the back. Our waiter was excellent (I wish I remembered his name). Almost everything on the menu looked delicious, but I narrowed it down to 3 choices. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommend the Spinach Walnut Ravioli. This dish is absolutely amazing. I enjoyed every bite of it. My boyfriend had the lasagna which was just as delectable as my ravioli. For desert, there was a wonderful Tiramisu and the coffee was excellent as well.

Overall, it was a fantastic night. The food was excellent, the wait staff top-notch, and the price was unbeatable!

What Happened?

My husband and I walked into the venue only to be greeted with a stare down and smug look on the face of the waiter/owner/manager...not sure who the person was. The restaurant was not even half full and the waiter sat us at the only table by itself where the traffic of staff and patrons was constant. Not only were we placed away from all other patrons, as if we were second-class citizens, but dusty bottles and dirty silverware surrounded us. We waited for our server to come over and ask us if we wanted anything to drink or to advise us of any house specials and/or wine selections but NO ONE came. We saw the same person who greeted us tend to one table and disregarded not only me and my husband, but other patrons as well. There were ample wait staff and minimal patrons and for NO ONE to serve us was completely unprofessional and rude. After 15 minutes of being seated and not ONE acknowledgement, we left and went to another fabulous Italian restaurant. We are highly disappointed, as we have frequented Past Bella many times in the past. We will never be back! On a positive note, this experience was a good one for us, as we found another venue more to our liking and worth spending a ton of money at! Good luck Pasta Bella...you will need it!

Found-Great Italian Food and Great Service

Being new to the area, we were in search of good Italian food. Pasta Bella on 15th Avenue did not disappoint. We were seated immediately on prom night! I asked our server what everyone orders here. He suggested a spinach ravioli dish or a chicken dish (had with a sweeter sauce on it) I chose the chicken dish and it was better than imagined. We had our usual Italian beer and my husband chose the steak-not as good as my chicken we both agreed. We enjoyed the Italian dining room with the paintings and all it's ambience and will go back for the food! The food was above tasty!
