The Scene – Ballard's newest influx of hipsters, singles and anyone else wanting a bit o' the green frequent this bar. The facade could have been ripped directly from a side alley in County Cork; a simple green signboard with the proprietor's name sits atop the window-framed entry. Inside, the brick walls are mellowed with upholstered benches, photos of Irish scenery and a large portrait of James Joyce. – – The Draw – The specialty here is an immaculately drawn 20-ounce pint of Guinness, served by a barman with a bona-fide Irish brogue. Irish music, from the…

Conor's 2007

by rayliotta

Just wanted to give an updated review of one of the best pubs in Seattle, Irish or not. For those who have not been there in a while Conor's now has liquor AND food! For about a month now they have been serving 5 or 6 different kinds of grilled sandwiches... delicious! It remains to be a great place to grab a Guinness, Irish Coffee or any other non-Irish drink of your choice. There is still music of all types most nights of the week, which always adds to the fun. More than anything, Conor's is one of the best rooms to hang out in on Ballard Avenue... if you haven't been there in a while I suggest you check it out.

  • Pros: Food, Drinks and Atmosphere
  • Cons: Only two bathroom stalls

To go to any bar, especially an Irish Bar on St Pats day and expect tip top service is asking a little much. I was there that night and given the fact that it is the superbowl of drinking nights, i thought everything was fine. To have expectations on a night like that is amateurish.

Still the Best Irish Pub in Ballard

by bobbert

I really enjoy a night at Connor Byrne's, especially Tuesdays for 'Miss H's Variety Show'. She gets the crowd going; moreover, she gets a crowd. Open mics used to be more standard, this is more of show and is highly entertaining. A lot of the old regular open mic performers don't like the change but it brought a new life to the place. Other than that, the service is the same (and same staff) as before and the decor hasn't changed. What are people talking about? A great guiness pull can be had here. Love it!

  • Pros: Location, Good Guiness Pour, Hillarious Open Mic
  • Cons: No food!
