Always Great Food

Alki Bakery has more than one location, yet the food and friendly staff is consistent at all locations I've been to. Outstanding fresh food and very friendly staff along with rapid lunch service when you need it on short lunch break hours. The 1st Ave location has been remodeled and expanded to give more table space and a bit more organized ordering system (zig-zag cattle track line-up). I had the hot reuben sandwhich which was very tasty but surprisingly small - but I guess that means less treadmill time for me. The remodeled location on 1st is pretty noisy as their accoustics are very poor, which makes it difficult to hold a conversation at a small table but the cleanliness and good food makes up for it. Don't let the title "Bakery" scare you out of this place, as there are some amazing salads and lean sandwhiches if you're trying to stay in your calorie budget. This place is a regular thumb's up and you can count on good food and great service any time you go.
