TURN BACK NOW!.
I stayed here during new years of 2010 and worst experience ever
the hotel does not have an elevator, so i took the stairs into a hallway that had puke on the carpet and look more and more similar to the movies "the shinning" and "pyscho"
The manager is maybe one of the rudest people I have ever met, he yelled at me about wanting an extra key for my room, and also charged me an extra 35$ telling me i had more than 4 guests spend the night in the room, when really i had some friends visit before we went out, and came back with the 4 guests that WERE staying
The carpet of my room look like it hadnt been vaccumed in years, the room smelt of smoke when i didnt ask for a smokers room and the beds were stiff and dirty.
I took my butt over to the Hyatt downtown because this place made me feel like a hooker or crackhead.
I HATED this hotel, and so will you the minute you walk into the lobby. You be better staying at travel lodge or holiday inn.
West Coast travelers find budget-friendly beds and a variety of creature comforts at this friendly hotel chain..
In Short
Since 1958, Vagabond Inns have offered affordable lodging to leisure and business travelers. The California ranch-style hotels boast home-like comforts, with most locations offering free continental breakfast, free local calls, free weekday newspapers, heated pools and pet-friendly policies. Many locations offer business-friendly amenities like Internet access, ergonomic work spaces, microwaves and refrigerators. Vagabond Inn Executive hotels offer more business-savvy amenities such as on-site business centers, exercise rooms, in-room data ports and more.
Great customer service!. I had a very good experience with the helpful staff. I didn't know the area well and they were able to reccommend good restaurants, tell me some places I should go see, and were very nice. It's a good deal- comes with a continental breakfast. Not the best hotel I've ever been to, but I enjoyed my stay and would probably go back.
Beware!! Stay away!!. An nice inexpensive hotel in such a prime location? Is it possible? No. No it's not. It's a rip off. Stay away. Dirty, uncomfortable, rude staff. If you don't believe me, check the reviews on the web site tripadvisor (there are 27 total), the most recent (May and June 2006) with headlines like "Please Do Not Stay Here" and "My WORST hotel experience EVER!" (capitalization in the original). One of the reviewers there said she found a dirty needle in her room. If you're into a flop-house chic thing you might dig it, but if you want a decent place to sleep. forget it.
Very bad experience. I will never go here again. Worst hotel I have ever stepped foot in.
