What People Are Saying About Caffe Ladro

In Short – In Spanish, Caffe Ladro means "coffee thief," and, as its name suggests, these neighborhood coffeehouses have clearly made off with a number of caffeine fans from the nearby chains. Customers toss their coats over their chairs and the regulars feel comfortable leaning over the counter to use the phone. A variety of pastries are available to munch with espresso drinks--a slice of deep dish fruit pie is a filling, if totally unhealthy, lunch. –

Really Bad Customer Service

The employees are so rude. There is seriously bad energy at the queen anne and bothell cafe ladro locations, its like they are told to be nasty to people or something...maybe they are treated badly and its a bad place to work or something. I have had several bad experiences - kept giving them 2nd chances because i dont like the taste of starbucks coffee...but cafe ladro employees are just consistently rude to customers and so i will not go here again and i will find somewhere else to get my coffee and would advise folks to go somewhere else for your coffee where you will be treated well. shouldn't that be the case? you pay them money - they should at least be a little pleasant! at a minimum they should not be rude!
Order the Medici Mocha with fresh orange peel!

Order the Medici Mocha with fresh orange peel! The fresh orange essence makes this drink heavenly - there's no way one of the big chain coffee shops could ever put so much love into your coffee. Ladro is the gold standard for Seattle coffee, no one else comes close. While you're there, check out the every-changing art gallery by local artists, and snag one of the outdoor adinarondack chairs for the best people watching on Queen Anne Ave.
- Pros: Original drink menu, medici mochas, adinarondack chairs, quality, service
- Cons: Located too far away from my home!
I'll avoid this one for a shop that combines great coffee with great service...

I must be the only person who has had a less than magical experience at this coffeeshop. While the coffee is usually pretty tasty, I have found the baristas to be unnecessarily rude. In the past, the staff's haughtiness hasn't interfered with their coffee-making but this last time, the coffee drinks weren't even good. In future, I'll avoid this one for a shop that combines great coffee with great service.
Great coffee and generous spirit!

The cafe is wonderful! Not only do they serve amazing espresso and cake, but they also come with a very big heart. The store donated one of their signature desserts for a very beneficial cause, which just goes to show how much they love the Seattle community. Whether you're a regular local or an out-of-towner, this is the best place to grab a quick pick me up. Or sit back and take in the atmosphere. Cheers!
Depends on location

Sure the downtown and East Capital hill locations leave something to be desired, however in Queen Anne or Freemont you get a great ambiance.
