Since 1995, Caffé Vita has opened five Seattle locations and become a social hub for coffee connoisseurs and casual drinkers alike. Caffé Vita is a certified organic coffee roaster and they brew over two dozen fair-trade varieties from around the world by hand on vintage equipment. Each blend or Farm Direct coffee is unique and complex, with beans coming from Central and South America, Africa and Indonesia. The Americano and drip coffees are favorites here, especially the Theo blend (resulting from a partnership with Theo Chocolate), a coffee with hints of vanilla and smoky spices and…

The Extras:
Caffé Vita stocks stylist t-shirts, coffee mugs, and brewing equipment like French presses, tampers, and the Chemex coffee maker, an hourglass-shaped piece of glass with a filter that has been showcased in the Modern Museum of Art.
Fun Fact:
Each farm that Caffé Vita partners with for their Farm Direct program is visited at least once per harvest season by a Caffé Vita representative. You can follow their travels on the road on Caffé Vita's blog.

C'est La Vita <3

The cutest little coffee place in Queen Anne. The staff is all super friendly, they make a mean latte and the atmosphere is tiny but perfectly cozy on days that it's pouring.

Good neighborhood coffee joint.

Cute coffee shop in Queen Anne. Some places to sit and hang out. Good for a coffee stop over on the way to the Seattle Center. Coffee is served at a non scalding temperature, which can be a plus if you like to be able to drink your coffee soon. Small espresso drinks have two shots which is a bonus. I like the wall decorations and the bricks on the other side. Too bad it seems so out of the way and appears to have very limited food options. Might check out the capital hill location next time.

Good coffee bad attitudes

by alicia317 at Citysearch

I frequent Caffe Vita about one time a week and have always been extremely happy with their coffee---but their barista's and thier poor customer service is why I'm writing this. Every time I go I'm sourly greeted by their barista's--or not even acknowleged. This morning when was the final straw for me--it shouldn't take 5 minutes to make an americano when NO ONE ELSE is in there. AND its wouldn't hurt them to actually acknowledge their customers. While I don't expect plastered smiles and in-your face happiness at 7am, I expect a little more than an aloof "I'm too cool" attitude coming from an established coffee house like Vita. They are afterall in the "service" industry.

Needless to say I'll be giving Caffe Fiore my future business.

  • Pros: Good coffee most of the time
  • Cons: Bad attitude problems

Best Caffe VIta

Dog friendly, people friendly... the most accessible of the three Caffe Vita locations in my opinion (accessible being non-clique-ish).. and the foam on your latte is very Guiness-like, you could write your name in it.
