In Short – On weekends, the crowd shifts from after-work professionals to basketball fans and playgoers, since it's a few short blocks from Key Arena and the Seattle Repertory Theatres. It offers a full dinner menu, including a ploughman's plate and New England clam chowder. The beer selection features 16 taps--mostly micro and craft beers--which keep the Sonics' fans content. Occasionally, the place features live Celtic and folk music.

Matt the bartender is the BEST!

by randipants

Food is fantastic and my drink is always perfectly poured. I really like the bartender, Matt, a lot. He's friendly and very competent. Glad to have this establishment in my neighborhood!

  • Pros: Great weekend bartender, plenty of seating, ambience

Just keep on walking.

How much fail can you fit into a half hour? I was the only customer in the middle of the afternoon. I popped in for a quick lunch and was surprised at the results. The waiter (who seemed like he was 15) didn't understand my drink order (whiskey and 7-up), and spent the rest of the time talking to the bartender. The hot sandwich I ordered was cold, and the bill was wrong. How hard is it to screw up that badly when there's only one customer? Some how they did it and I won't be back for a long time.

Ditto on the Hunters Chicken, except for....

by galaevents

I went with a large group before the Storm opener and it was very crowded but we had gotten there early and our watier advised we order quick and get ours in before the other big parties did. Good Advice!!

Having never been I decided to look up it's reviews and wasn't too happy to be going but I wasn't the organizer. The reviews are not great!. The reviews for the Hunters Chicken were good so that is what I had and it lived up to the reputation. Except for the fact that the veggies were over cooked and were swimming in the gravy. YUK!!. I would suggest putting them in a small bowl and keeping them seperate from the gravy and not cooking so long. They were ineatable. The potatoes have very little flavor but a bit of salt and pepper did the trick plus the gravy on them was good too. You could also use the potatoes to seperate the gravy from the veggies. The soda bread also lived up to it's reputation... it didn't crumble easily as in other reviews but it was tasteless. Worst I have ever eaten. My friend had the dingo pie but was very disappointed. Hardly any lamb or taste and should have been called carrot pie. Tons of carrots.

The saving grace was it was close to the game. Would I go back...not likely. If you can find something closer go there!!
