This is one of the local spots in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood where you can go for a good in or take out order. The fish quality is pretty good, the rice fresh, and the soups like the vegetable or beef udon are great for a cold day. The owner and employees are very nice and conversational. If you want to drop a lot of money for the best sushi in town, go to Umi, but for people who want to eat sushi often and not completely break the bank (and who live in Bell Town/Lower Queen Anne) Sam's is it.

Fast and attentive service! Although, a lot of rice included and not much fish, and a little pricier than an average low-key sushi bar.

There is nothing spectacular about this place, but the prices are reasonable for the food. A lot of rolls are about $5 and are pretty good size. We ordered the lobster roll ($9) and deep-fried cream cheese spicy tuna roll ($6). The food wasn't amazing, but we were satisfied with what we got for the price. The inside is stereotypical but clean, and we got decent service too.
