Casual good dinner/meat market nights. I do understand why the reviews vary wildly; You will probably LOVE PARAGON if you understand WHEN to go for the experience that you are looking for. Paragon is a club by night, and a restaurant by day -- You REALLY HAVE TO BE AWARE/PLAN WHEN you go to eat there, or the eating experience will be ruined by the pick-up bar nature of the place that takes over.Translation: lunch is always OK, dinner without meat-market ends at 7 p.m. Sunday through Thurs., at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The second reason for some really bad reviews is inconsistent service. When it's bad, it means long waits for the food and some real attitude by the waitstaff that acts like it can't be bothered to help you out. The food is good and drinks are just fine. A must-do, at least once, for the people watching, for anyone in Seattle.
A+ Food w/ Fabulous Servic. I have never encountered such great service. The servers are incredibly nice and I can't say enough good words about the perfectly prepared, tasty food (brunch, lunch and dinner). I would recommmend the Paragon to anyone who wants great food and service for a very reasonable price. I give the Paragon an A+ in my books.
Somewhere between good and bad.
Paragon is a dependable place. You will get the same quality food every time you go, which is good food.
Service? That's another story. Sometimes it's great, other times it's like they couldn't care less that you showed up!
If you are going out with friends, or a steady b/f or g/f, go to Paragon without hesitation. If you are trying to impress someone, think twice and still go, just be aware that they don't have customer service standards, so that you don't rave about it beforehand to the persons you want to impress and then look stupid because it didn't pan out. (potentially)
Average. My expectations may have been too high, I didn't know that Paragon was so casual. Service was OK, food took a little long (20-25 min) but it was good once it got there, and the prices are cheap. I think it's probably better at night when there is live music.
Worst Service Ever. Some friends and I visited the Paragon only to be very dissapointed. No hospitality whatsoever, and nothing but rudeness and an attitude from our server. They have decent food but service is definitely more important when it comes to a good restaurant. I highly reccommend NOT going here!
Best known secret. Located on the top of Queen Anne hill, the Paragon is a well know destination for locals and out of towners. There aren't too many places around it to go to so the Paragon is definetly a one stop shop. If you are looking for a fun, lively scene with fantastic food (there isn't anything on the menu I wouldn't recommend) great live music, a good place to meet people and the stiffest drinks around, the Paragon is the place. The Ceasar Salad, Mongolian Chicken and the Skirt Steak are the way to go along with any of their Martini specials for diner. I can't wait to return to Seattle and visit the Paragon again.
