Get in line for a classic burrito or a plate of heaping nachos...or both! On a sunny day, head to the back patio and kick back with a cold one. Happy Hour deals on food and drink Monday through Friday from 4:00 - 6:00 pm.
Happy hour 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. means 4 Cornoa's can be had for just 5 bucks at this lower QA Mexican joint. Grab a burrito and some fresh guac and chips and head to the sunny back patio.
Best taco salad hands down!.
The best taco salad this side of the boarder!
Each bite is extremely fresh & delicious.
Plus they have killer chips.
P.S. ask for the special sauce. it's the bomb!
Good food, friendly staff..
This place is great in my opinion. I really like their burritos, especially the big blue deluxe with beef. One of the staff suggested that I try something new, big blue deluxe with prawns. This is my new favorite!
Fun, airy atmosphere and a great place for lunch!
Rude staff. Going to Blue water, there was a line that formed after my party entered, and when I ordered the staffer said he couldn't make the grilled veggie burrito because it would take too long and there was a line! We changed our order to accomodate that, but the burritos were very loose, the beans not drained, overall kind of gross. Not recommended.
Mission-style Mexican comes to Seattle, bringing fresh burritos built for mountainous appetites..
The Scene
These taquerias have sprung up around the city like spring tulips in the Skagit valley. Half the decoration is the food: glass bowls resting on a bed of crushed ice, piled with chopped peppers, herbs, tomatoes and greens. Much of the service is takeout, but ample seating provides a welcome option for dining away from your desk.
The Food
Giant, moist burritos are the draw here, with fillings that range from basic rice and beans to Pacific cod and carne asada. The latter is a favorite, with crispy, flavorful beef providing a textural balance to soft rice and beans. Each basic burrito is an eight-inch cylinder, accompanied with onion-heavy pico de gallo and your choice of four salsas--the smoked chipotle is a moderately spiced flavor fest. Tacos are available for smaller appetites, while asado plates allow you the option of building your own.
Mexican Seafood. Mexican Seafood (hey wasn't that a Nirvana song?)is the specialty of the Blue Water Taco Grill, but they also make great Beek, Chicken, and Pork dishes as well. Burritos are large and packed with all kinds of good stuff. Service is very prompt and they can make you a full sized burrito faster than Dick's can throw a Deluxe and an order of fries in a bag and "change a twenty". Four excellent salsa's are available for everyone from the wimpy to those who like it spicy. While the food is wonderful and very tasty I do feel the prices are a bit high for the amount of food that you get. Still I would recommend it.
