Takeout spot in Seattle Center's Centerhouse serves beignets, elephant ears and New Orleans-style chicory coffee.
Warning
by NWfoodfan
The coffee is ok, but the beignet's are nasty. They were over frie and turned into crispy blob's of grease. Eat at your own risk. We tried them anyway and they made us sick for 12 hours.
- Cons: horrible beignet
Not into Starbucks?

If you're in Seattle Center and you don't like Starbucks, a few paces away across the walkway in the Center House is Cafe Beignet. You can grab a decent coffee or coffee drink here and you can order (and they'll make them up right there) some beignets (light pastries like larger doughnut holes that are scrumptious) or the classic carnival fare, elephant ears. It's a nice alternative if you want one.
- Pros: Beignets and elephant ears
- Cons: No seating, it's just a stand like most of the places in the Center House, although there's seating all around and tables.
