Editorial Review for David Smith & Co. – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
More than a decade ago, David Smith went to Java and returned with antique, rustic furniture. This foray to Indonesia and respect for the people and their craft turned into one of the largest importing businesses of its kind in the country, with an owner that pays indigenous laborers a fair wage and bonuses. The 25,000 square foot store has tables, chairs and other furniture that master woodworkers have handcrafted from reclaimed 18th and 19th century planks.

Primitive, handcrafted teak furniture with a history is imported by a modern day businessman with a conscience.  See the full editorial review.
