I love my table and chairs. I worked a good deal and this will be our second summer to enjoy that folding umbrella table. love it, love it, love it
Love it. I got a table and eight chairs from these guys and we love it. I felt like I got them for a good deal too.
Beautiful hand-made furniture - great prices. My girlfriend and I bought a teak table for our dining room here, and we loved it so much we came back and bought an antique cabinet/armoire. We loved that so much we came back and bought a coffee table. Really an amazing place for unique and/or monumental furniture pieces. They have tables in here that must take 4 big guys to move, and they have some other really cool Indonesian/southeast Asian furniture and antiques and various other objects of interest. Every time I come here I have fun just walking around the big, beautiful open space (it's a giant old warehouse) coveting everything I see. Highly recommended.
Primitive, handcrafted teak furniture with a history is imported by a modern day businessman with a conscience..
In Short
More than a decade ago, David Smith went to Java and returned with antique, rustic furniture. This foray to Indonesia and respect for the people and their craft turned into one of the largest importing businesses of its kind in the country, with an owner that pays indigenous laborers a fair wage and bonuses. The 25,000 square foot store has tables, chairs and other furniture that master woodworkers have handcrafted from reclaimed 18th and 19th century planks.
