Intelligent readers are not gone..... ..but most of them are at Queen Anne Books. A great selection of quality, unique books. If you are having trouble finding something or want a recommendation, just ask one of the knowledgeable staff.

I buy a lot of books for my wife, as she is an avid reader, and I have never been steered wrong with what book she might like.

They also have a club card which is useful if you go through a lot of reading material.

No hot java, just patient, personal service from two ex-nurses.. In Short
Walk through the door and you're surrounded by travel books--from Seattle to Samarkand--along with racks of calendars that run the gamut from Monet to motorcycles. The store is heavy on psychology and spiritual books, as well as seasonal and in-the-news tomes. If you tire of New York Times bestsellers, try the store's own Queen Anne Bestseller list. Kids gravitate to the store's stockpile of children's books and gather round for the occasional storytime.
