VERY HAPPY staying at Quality Inn & Suites Seattle Center. It was everything we had hoped for and more. All staff was helpful and friendly. We were saddened that there was no room service but not for long - there were many restaraunts that delivered. The place we picked to order from was EXCELLANT; pizza that was huge, tasty and very affordable. The swimming pool and fitness areas were totally awesome. We were able to walk to the Pike Place Market although the distance was further than I had anticipated. That evening walked to the science fair to see a late night showing of Laserium. We did have some tv trouble when we first arrived but the maintenance man was quick and fixed it. Our room card key also gave us trouble but was quickly fixed. I'd definitely get a room there again during a downtown excursion.
New and improved in a good location..
The Scene
This was once a cheap and frightening crash pad for people you wouldn't want to share a hotel with. Now it has renovated its rooms, raised its rates and cleaned up its act to appeal to a new clientele--families and travelers on tight budgets. The real selling point continues to be the location. It's just a few blocks from Seattle Center and is close to downtown. It's not The Ritz, but it's a decent option in a convenient area.
The Details
Thanks to a major remodel and add-on, this hotel went from 59 to 159 guestrooms. Despite being a budget property, many of the rooms have bigger beds and upgraded amenities. Standard rooms include two queen beds, small refrigerators, microwaves and free T1 lines. One-room suites have either a Jacuzzi tub or kitchenette with stove, oven, dishes and dishwasher. Two-room family suites with kitchenettes are also available.
