Best Bagels on Capitol Hill. Have been coming to the Bagel Deli for years. Pretty good east coast style bagel, not baked cakes like other east coast bagels. For breakfast I might have a lox special, or just get a toasted bagel with butter or cream cheese. The Manhattan is my favorite lunch sandwich bagel. My husband loves their hotdogs. The staff are friendly and generally have been around for awhile. Oh, I forgot to mention the bialy sticks! Love em, and now they have them with cheesse.

Some of the best bagels in Seattle. These are some of my favorite bagels in Seattle. They are dense and chewy and deeply flavorful the way God intended bagels to be. Their fabulous cream cheese spreads are made in-store. My favorites are the Lox and the Honey Walnut spreads.

They also make good coffee and sandwiches, so it's a great place to go in the morning or for lunch.

Terrible Service, Mediocre Bagels. I am very annoyed by my experience at the Bagel Deli. First, I ordered a dozen bagels and asked if they would slice them and package them in plastic for me as they were for breakfast the next day. The man assured me that they ALWAYS package them in plastic unless someone specifically asks for paper. I should have looked in the bag before I left the place, because when I get to my destination, I find that the bagels have been sliced and dumped willy nilly into a plastic grocery bag tied in a knot. All of the flavors together, you know - garlic mingling with blueberry - a big pile, really. Unacceptable! Who does that? So I have to drive back there and get the plastic "freezer" bags and package them myself. The two twenty-somethings working behind the counter barely bat an eye and tell me that they usually just dump the bagels in a grocery bag because people are just going to take them somewhere to eat them. Whatever! So on top of mediocre bagels, now I have to do half of their work for them and still pay. No offer of a refund or anything for my inconvenience. I'm never going there again, that's for sure!

Cranberries!!!. I really enjoyed this bagel deli, first I went relatively early in the morning on a Saturday and the nice thing was that it was open! Close to Capitol Hill and the ambience is really nice with large open windows and a sunny colored walls. The staff was friendly and prompt and seemed to really know their regulars. The food was great as well, I had the turkey bagel and everything was perfectly sliced, from the thickness of the tomato to the turkey. I didn't get there in time for their challah (sometimes their have day old Saturday mornings, but not often!), but the server told me that you can actually pre-order it if you are in the area on Thursday. Great place for breakfast.
