Good find and a got great help.
I am not exactly a home store maniac, but I found a very cool lamp here to go in my living room. It was nice, that I had brought a picture and got help from a very nice girl while I shopped. She led me right to what I was looking for. I chatted with her and found out that you can have full scale design service if you want, very cool!
Great store, snobby staff.
I have been in both stores (Veritables and Veritables Decor, about 4 storefronts apart) twice now. One time I was never even greated with a simple hello. Another time I wanted to know the price of something and they couldn't even give me a straight answer. They did not seem to grasp the concept of customer service/social decency. I bet if I had my Louis Vuitton bag on my arm they would have paid attention to me. I will never go back.
I recently purchased some perfume from Veritables that was on sale. I went on the internet and learned it was a discontinued fragrance from years past. My customer receipt stated exhanges or store credit within 10 days, however, when I went to exchange the item I was told final sale on sale items even though the receipt did not state as such. I also explained my newly gained knowledge of the product and they didnt seem to care at all. Buyer Beware.
Beautiful Lamps and Pillows.
Finding Veritables, and her sister store Veritables Decor, on Madison Street, was an absolute treat. Fantastic lamps with a great price point, and stunning pillows have enabled me add life and color to my NYC apartment. The staff was very helpful, although, it was very busy on the weekend, and patience was in order to complete the sale. Highly recommend for people who know style and quality home accessories.
I visit Seattle a few times a year and look forward to returning in the future. BTW, the photo is about 10 years old.
You Break It You Buy It!!!!!.
This store is VERY crowded with overpriced merchandise. In my attempt to locate something to use my $100 gift certificate I accidentally knocked over and broke two vases that were sitting on the concrete floor in front of a moving cabinet door (clearly not a good place to display fragile merchandise). The store was very indignant about the fact that I broke these two vases and I ended up using my $100 certificate to pay for the broken merchandise that was clearly an accident. I was so upset at how poorly the store handled the situation I would never go back. If you decide to shop here - be VERY careful or you too could be the proud owner of two broken vases.
