Wow, I have been to all the Thai Ginger locations and Thai Ginger, located in Madison Park is the best! I have eat at the Madison location at least 2-3 times a month; bringing family and friends. I never have to worry about sevice. By the way, the name of the Manager there is Peter and he is the BEST! He also has a right hand man, his name is "Moo"I like that he is consistent, letting me know what the specials are and encouraging me to try new dishes. He keeps my guest and I entertained and welcomed like we were a guest at a house party. All the food is great. My favorite appetizer is of course "Chicken Satay" because it comes with toast ( I guess this is what traditional chicken satay is served with). "Tom Kha Soup" is also a must and the "Tamarind Scallops" and "Something w/deep Fried Trout" are soo good. The kitchen is open so you can see how your food is prepared when you are sit up at the high counter. I've noticed that menu prices have changed-not sure why (I blame the economy for the increasing food prices). My friends and I usually go eat for dinner and we all enjoy are time there. Again, with Peter there - he is a great conversationalist. However, it is too bad that the owners of Thai Ginger didn't take the time and investment to decorate the restaurant like all the other locations. (Owners of Thai Ginger, I hope that you are reading this: "Please update the interior look of this great little restaurant." I guarantee if you give it a makeover like Pacific Place, your Madison location will be the talk of this quaint neighborhood.") Inaddition, it would great if you could have a "Peter" at all of your locations. He truly takes pride in his job - very professional!
Pros: Great service and location to walk around after a fulfilling meal.
Cons: Decor is inconsistent with all the other Thai Ginger locations.

Thai Ginger in downtown Seattle is a good restaurant for a date or an after work get together. I have been there on three occasions with colleagues. The food is good but not authentic if that is what you are looking for. The prices are a little high and the service is good. We always order family style starting with appetizers and then sharing several main courses. I liked the steamed crab and the lamb chops for entrees. Most of the appetizers are good notably the satays.
