Editorial Review for Lake View Cemetery – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
Until Bruce and Brandon Lee were buried here, this was best known as the final home for Seattle's pioneers, such as Asa Mercer, 'Doc' Maynard and David Denny. Located on a grassy knoll north of Volunteer Park on Capitol Hill, the cemetery is a popular pilgrimage for fans of the Lees. Also look for the gravesites of these early movers and shakers: Princess Angeline (daughter of Chief Sealth/Seattle), Irving Ballard and Henry Yesler.
