Didn't show up. I called Chester Dorsey to make an appointment because they used to by right by my place on Madison. Two days later, someone called me back and I made an appointment for 9am.

A little before 9am I got a call asking how long I had before I needed my car back. I said noon.

At 10AM I got a call from the detailer saying there was no way he could get there in time to detail the car and have it done by noon.

Couldn't you have called me the day before to let me know this wasn't going to happen?

Totally flakey.

Don't waste your time or money at Chester Dorseys.. Look's like Chester is writing reviews on his business again. Don't be fooled by this. If you want and professional detail and a reasonable price Chester Dorsey is the last place you want to go.

I hear nothing but true stories of what terrible service he provides. If you take your car to Chester one of the following things will happen to you or your car. 1) You will get ripped off! 2) Your car will be scratched. 3) You will feel uncomforatable. 4) You will get asked out on a date. 5) Your car will be taken out for a joy ride. 5) Your personal belongings and change will be stolen from your car, then they will ask you for a tip!

New Managers = excellent service. I took my 2008 5 series BMW to Chester Dorsey Auto Salons last week. I have been to the Salon a few times and apparently they have a few new managers working there. I must say that the service and level of professionalism was outstanding and they have really kicked it up a notch. I pulled right into the parking garage (downtown Seattle, in between 3rd and 4th on Madison) and was greeted by a friendly staff member. We agreed on the services to be performed (wash and wax) and the wait time went by very quickly. I ran a few errands and when I returned to the Auto Salon my car was parked in the reserved waiting area and was on full display. The car looked great! The team did exceptional work and I will definitely be returning to have my car cleaned here again.

Warning. Do not take your car to Chester Dorsey! What he offers is low quality work at a high price. If I am going to pay $400.00 for a full detail I expect my car to look perfect. When I arrived to pick my Mercedes up there was Chester's employee's just standing around. They looked like they just got out of prison. They started asking me personal questions like how can you afford a car like that? What do you do for a living? Where do you live? I thought I was going to be robbed! It turns out I was. They had stolen some change out of my car and a few bills. I am surprised they didn't show up at my house and rob me at gun point. My registration was in my glove box. I think they might of took that too. My address was on there. This was the worst experience I have ever had. Can you imagine? You take your car in for service and end up paying $400.00 for a basic car wash and then getting robbed and second time! Chester know's nothing about detailing cars or running a business for that matter. He should be put in jail for at least 2 life terms. He is a professional alright. A professional scam artist. You have been warned! Do not take your car to Chester Dorsey!

DO YOU NEED MONEY AND GET PAID ON TIME. MY STEPT DAD WORK FOR CHESTER FOR 4 YEARS AND I KNOW FOR SURE THAT CHESTER DONT PAY YOU WHEN HE SAY HE WILL JUST A LITTLE WHILE BACK I WORKED FOR HIM HE PAID ME WHAT HE WANTED ME TO HAVE AND WHEN I STARED TO WORK FOR HIM I APPLYED FOR DETAILING CARS AND HE HAD ME DOING LAND SKAPPIN FOR HIS SISTER I DONT RECALL THAT DOING THAT JOB WAS WASHING CAR THE RESOND WHY I WANTED TO WORK FOR HIM WAS TO WASH CARS NOT LANDSKAPPING BUT ON THE OVER ALL WHEN I WAS WORKIN FOR HIM AND I NEEDED MONEY TO GET TO WORK AND TO PAY FOR LUNCH HE WAS KIND HEARTED AND BOUGHT BY LUNCH AND GAVE ME MONEY TO GET TO WORK BUT AS HE DID THIS HE DID NOT TELL ME IT WAS GOING TO COME OUT OF MY CHEAK SO HE TOOK IT OUT OF MY MONEY FOR WHILE I DID MIND BUT I WASNT BEING ABLE TO PAY MY HALF OF THE RENT WITH MY ROOM MATE I BELIVE THAT IF YOU WORK FOR HIM MAKE SURE THAT YOU MAKE HIM SINGH A CONTRACK WITH ASAY WHEN YOU WILL WORK AN DHOW MUCK YOU WILL BE PAYED EVERY TWO WEEKS BECAUSE WHEN I WAS WORKIN FOR HIM I WAS SUPPOSE TO GET PAYED $600 EVERY TWO WEEKS AND I HAVE NOT RESECVED ALL THE MONEY YET THERE WAS TIMES WHEN CHESTER WAS MISTER NICE GUY AND USE TO TALK ME OUT TO EAT AND TEACH ME ALOT OF THINGS BUT THEN ALL OF A SUDDON HE WAS NOT MISTER NICE GUY I DONT KNOPW WHAT MADE HIM CHANGE BUT I WISH HE WILL COME BACK TO THE OLD CHESTER I KNEW I AM 17 AND I GOING TO RENTON TECH FOR MY GED AND THEN GO TO BCC BUT WHILE I GOING TO SCHOOL IM GOING TO NEED TO WORK SO I GOING TO SEE WHAT HE HAS TO SAY ABOUT ME WORKING FOR HIM AND ILL MAKE SURE THAT HE KNOWS THAT CAME TO WASH AND DETAIL CARS AND CARS ONLY IM ALSO GOING TO HAVE HIM SINHG A CONTRACK

Bad product and service. I went to this car wash service (Madison location) for the first time in March and received a car wash and wax service. I paid approximately $80 and when I got home realized they hadn't even touched my rough. Upon further review realized there were dirt smear marks on various parts of the car and my snow chains (in a bag in the back) were not put back. I went back to Chester's and they did some additional work to clean it up and also gave me my chains back. They also gave me a "free hand car wash" good for Mon thru Thursday. I just went in today (Thursday) to cash it in and they turned me away! They said it is no good, so I explained how I had received it and the woman working the front desk called her manager. Her manager said the coupon was no longer good even though there is no expiration date on it. Bottom line...bad service, bad end product and they do not stand by their product.

THE WORST! (if I could give negative stars I would.). Chester Dorsey customer service is the absolute worst! I think it might be a front for activities that have nothing to do with car washing and detailing because they don't follow their posted rules and they are rude to customers (even ones that have been going there for three years!).

For example, the sign that shows their hours at the 23rd and Madison location, states they are supposed to be open from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. That simply is not the case. After waiting from 7:05 to 7:15 I called the number posted on the sign. When I called the number, after being told repeatedly that "it wasn't their problem," I was told that the shop downtown was open at 7:00 but the 23rd and Madison location, where the sign says "7:00" really opens at 8:00 (or maybe whenever they feel like it.?).

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO CHESTER DORSEY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! (unless you want to be treated awfully, be overcharged and want to help fund whatever "activities" are really going on there.) If they have ever been investigated, it really would not surprise me.

p.s. I noticed that each bad review is followed by a good review in here. That is probably either the owners or their significant others trying to "minimize the bad pub." Well, don't be fooled if that happens again. Don't believe the hype.

WARNING WARNING DON"T GET YOUR AUTO DONE THERE AND DON"T WORK THERE. This place is the worst detail shop in seattle its dirty, and they are not going to remodel there store its pretty much bankrupt they cheat customers and treat there employees verry bad ,stay away dont ever go there for a job they should be investigated !!!

awsome work. My car was a mess and the crew their made it look like a brand new car that rolled of the showroom floor. They were courteous and friendly . Highly recomend using them i even signed up for their monthy maintanence program. The waiting area was comfortable - i was informed that they are planning on remodel soon and offer beverages. Today i went to Starbucks which was close by
