They're great.
I feel compelled to write a review, something I very rarely do.
I have been going to Doggie Style since before James became the owner. And, I am still going, and plan to continue for as long as I have dogs.
The service is great, the people are great, and they know how to work with my dog and his personality. They are helpful and knowledgeable, and I have always found their customer service to be top notch.
I have never found anyone there to be rude or have issues with communicating exactly what I need. And, if advice on the care of my pet is offered, I listen and make my own decisions. If you don't like someone's advice or opinions, don't use the advice or opinion.
I have had bad experiences at other groomers and I don't intend to try any others again, unless Doggie Style goes away. And, I so hope they don't.
Don't be such a wimp. Maybe I am rude too because I have never been offended by James. Quite the opposite--I have asked him questions about my dog's health and well being that even I know are ridiculous, and he has always been polite and responsive. Besides, you are getting your dog groomed so let's focus on what matters. The shop provides a clean, safe, calm atmosphere for your dog, and the grooming is top notch. My soft coated wheaten terrier comes out looking like a soft coated wheaten terrier is supposed to look. Adrianne knows her stuff and is gentle and kind with our much loved 4 legged friend. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else in Seattle.
JAMES IS RUDE!!!!. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!!!! The owner, James, is VERY VERY RUDE. He doesn't understand customer service and nor does he understand dogs!!!!!!! We recently moved here and was referred to this place and at first had a great impression because of Adrianne who understood dogs and people's schedules. It's too bad because before James took over, Doggie Style had a great reputation... unfortunately James has ruined that reputation. James, my suggestion is for you to take your business to another neighborhood because we don't want rude people like you here...nor should our dog's be around you!!!! I informed them that my dog has been to groomer's many times but gets scared but wouldn't hurt a fly. I dropped him off at 10:15am and went to pick him up at 1pm and he still was not ready. James was very rude to me & acted as though I didn't know how my dog acts and he needed more time to finish him. I think James was more upset because I didn't "follow his order's" by waiting for him to call when my dog was done. (Adrianne finished some of the service) and James told he wouldn't take my dog again & didn't charge me (thank god because I would have given him a dime). I have never written a review but knew I just needed to get the word out about James and his business. He should be reported to the Human Society as well!
Great Groomer, Rude Owner. We love, love, love Adrienne the groomer. She is professional, friendly and gives our dog a fantastic hair cut. He is at ease with her and always loves going there. On the other hand, the owner is rude, snippy and offers unsolicited medical and pet care advise. We highly recommend Adrienne, but if she didn't work there we wouldn't take our dog to Doggie Style.
our puppy loves Adrianne. We brought our puppy to Adrianne, the pet stylist at this shop, for her first groom seven months ago and have been back every six weeks since. We feel like our favorite family member is in good hands every time we drop her off. Adrianne always accommodates our special requests in a professional manner and seems to genuinely enjoy our dog. Our pup always has a great hair cut and seems happy to be left at this shop for a couple of hours. Parking is a breeze, you pull right up to the door. The only negative is that the owner often gives unsolicited advice about dog training, kind of rude. Keep your conversation focused on Adrianne to avoid this. Our friends and neighbors that have been to this shop agree with us that their dogs seem to have a good time at this place.
Adrianne is the absolute best dog groomer!!!.
GrisGris and Chloe can't wait to go to Doggie Style. I followed Adrianne over to Maple Leaf and I live in West Seattle. My dogs look so good and better yet feel so good after going. GrisGris's fur shines and her cut is adorable. They bring out the personality of your pooch. Chloe is actually all white again... no more yellow. The girls get to play with the other dogs while waiting for me.
Prices are so reasonable, it's easy to get an appointment, and there's tons of on street parking.
I also have to say I love James the owner, he has a sly sense of humor, and is soooo good with all 3 of my dogs.
A great cut!. Doggie Style handled my springer spaniel (who has lots of extra energy) with grace. This was our first visit to any groomer and we were all a bit nervous, but her trim looks great and she smells divine. The salon space is small but very clean. Parking wasn't an issue (there's a 30 minute loading zone right outside the door). We will definitely be back for more.
Ask for Adrianne!. Ask for Adrianne, she's a great groomer with the experience. She does a great job on my goldendoodle. My baby has been going there since he was a puppy and is happy and looking good when I pick him up!
Not my first choice.
I had high hopes. They were ok, just not what I was looking for. You definitely get what you pay for.
While these guys have their heart in the right place...they were not the place for my dog. They do not have the equipment or the capicity to do my dog quickly. They have very little storage space; and the space THEY DO HAVE is small.
I'm sure they are good for some people. Just not for mine.
The best!. They do a great job at Doggie Style. I have a chow/husky mix that sheds profusely several times a year and Nick and Co. do a great job of removing the excess hair. I had some difficulty with a different groomer cutting my dogs nails too short, which made her touchy about having her nails trimmed. Since I've been taking her to Doggie Style, its been easier to trim them myself between grooming visits, which tells me that they handle her with care. This is a small shop, so it never feels like your dog went through an assembly line.
