Inside tells all!. Basically, Bagel Oasis Is one of the worst places ever for a bagel place its self. The Overall place is dirty never really clean much, If you ever got a chance at seeing the back. Make sure you do. because that's where your food is getting made. in a very low down dirty kitchen and also in front to as well. . and basically the real main point of this all is. The manager and owner are just very rude and no sense of humor nothing they are just plain out mean and rude. the owner is just the biggest one of them all you know what i mean. he is not friendly one bit basically he just does not even care.why i know this all to well. Its because i use to work for them. and the owner himself was not even nice to me period. i would never work for them ever. i would rather work for a garbage company or something else then working for him basically if you saw this place for yourself. you would want to report them . Because they first off are non union they have no safety what so ever. basically there is always water on the floor next the registers and even in the back next to old freezers and next to some very old stairs that are not even safe at all. Overall bagel oasis is a place for no one. Unless you want a bagel that will cost an arm and a leg for one. I should know. The prices there are not cheap. and this a bagel place for sakes. anyways this what i had to go through. i wanted to put this out there myself.

Used to work there.... I agree with most everything that has been said so far. I actually worked there about 4 years ago and it was pretty much the same then. I can promise however, that even though the main dining room is messy, they are super strict about cleanliness in the BOH. I actually baked the bagels myself, and everything was as clean as can be, not to mention the bagels go through like a 500 degree oven. Even the prep stations are clean, thank goodness its Kosher or that might not be the case. I pretty much love EVERYTHING on the menu, and its ALL made from scratch! My favs: Plain Bagel un toasted with salmon CC, the Hot Emerald Sandwich, the Tomato Havarti melt and ANY SOUP!

Good bagels, crappy service.. I've been going to Bagel Oasis for at least ten years, and though the bagels have been consistently good, the service has always been pretty bad. I agree with the 4/8 post, that the place is dirty--it's true, a bunch of people "work" there but no one ever takes the time to clean the tables. It's a pain that whenever you sit down you have to wipe your own table down unless you want a bunch of bagel crumbs/etc stuck to your arm.

As far as kids go, there are often a lot of pretty loud kids--part of that I think is the space, it's like a big open box with nothing to absorb the sound, so it gets pretty loud.

Hasn't improved.... Unfortunately I have to agree with the other comments on this page. Bagel Oasis has potential to be great and a corner on the Greenlake/Ravenna bagel market since the only other places in the immediate area to get bagels are merely coffee shops.

On my visit Sunday morning, there was a constant trickle of people over 2 hours but rarely a line thicker than 3 people. Nevertheless, the 7 (yes, 7) guys working behind the counter did not take the time to clean up the dining room. It was obvious one of them was a manager as well who just stared grumpily into space. Tables and floor were covered with crumbs, newspapers, and napkins. I also would excuse the cashier's bad attitude if they were a little busier. But with hardly anyone in line, there's no reason to be curt.

I can't help but complain that there are no signs directing which line to get in to order and pay and which to pick up your order. And don't think the presence of a cash register will help, there's one at each line. At least three times, I heard one of the employees explain to a new customer that the left side is for bagels-to-go and the right is for orders in or sandwiches or beverages. I simply don't understand why they can't put up two simple signs informing people of this procedure.

The poor customer service and uncleanliness of the dining room at Bagel Oasis have caused me to take my bagel cravings elsewhere. I'm pretty sure I saw a Noah's Bagels in Wallingford.

Great bagels with a side of screaming kids. The bagels here are great. I am originally from the east coast and these are by far the best bagels I've found in Seattle. However, I've stopped going here, because the place is so annoying. The staff is slow and rude, it's always sort of dirty, and it's constantly overrun with screaming kids running everywhere. I am a mother myself but I would NEVER let my kid behave in public the way the kids hanging out here act.
