Been customers for years. Very disappointed.. My parents started taking us to this restaurant when we were kids. My parents are gone now and my sister and I have enjoyed meals at this restaurant for years until tonight. Our fav meal there was the manicotti and that is what my sister ordered tonight. I ordered the veal marsala which was pretty good but the portions were greatly reduced and everything was ala carte when they used to have a choice of a full meal with salad, soup, entree, & ice cream or the ala carte meal. I had the veal because I am on a low carb diet and when I asked if I could replace the side of pasta with vegetables, the server said that they did not have any although they could substitute a salad. The mushrooms on my veal were not fresh, they were canned although they tasted good. My sister's manicotti consisted of green pasta, which she was not expecting, but the server said that it was spinach pasta. She said the manicotti tasted like warm noodles with cottage cheese inside with very little mozzarella cheese on top. They have cut back on the salads, which used to have a slice of provolone cheese plus a couple slices of salami. The server took off the manicotti from the bill because my sister could not eat it. When we left, we went to the front and voiced our concerns about the food, but the woman we spoke with did nothing but make excuses and said that there were lots of new items on the menu and we should come back. Needless to say, we will not be back. This was my parent's favorite Italian restaurant for years and if they were still alive, they would be shocked if they experienced the reduced quality of food that we experienced tonight.

Love it.. My wife and I use to eat here very often, wish they would open shop in Kirkland. Food is consistant, always feel welcome. Portions are perfect. The food is great! The BEST family Italian spot I have found in town.

unimpressive. So, my boyfriend and I would always see this place on our way to the gym, and one weeknight, decided to give it a try. We were promptly seated, though our waitress was a bit grumpy. We ordered drinks, and I received my wine in a glass with a very obvious lipstick stain on the lip of the glass. Ick! I informed the waitress and she promptly returned with a different glass. I ordered the lasagna with a salad, and my boyfriend ordered a meat pizza. The bread in the basket was somewhat hard, and they included those cracker type ones, which I've never seen outside of a cafeteria. My lasagna looked like something you could get from the frozen aisle at the store, and tasted like it too. The pizza had a similar flavor and texture to grade school cafeteria food. I think even I could make better pizza and lasagna than what we had. For dessert we split spumoni icecream, which was fine, but then again, only required moving the item from one container to another. There's too many great restaurants to eat at to waste your time with this one.

Amazing pizza!. I adore going to the Italian Spaghetti House, particularly on weeknights when it's not as crowded. I've never had anything there besides the pizza, but I've seen no reason to - it's AMAZING. By far the best pizza I've ever had - give it a try, it's worth it!

This place is a cultural icon. Best family Italian in town.. The late owner started this shortly after the war, and it has been a cultural icon since. Several generations of families have gronw up with this place. To my kids (and all of thier buds, and thier folks) up here in NE it is thier requested treat. Sure, some folks may scoff at "Americanized Italian" but everyone needs to drop the Seattle elitist foody schtick once in a while and join together as a familal unit or group of good friends and enjoy a big pile of cheese/tomato/basil. Always friendly, always consistent. If you are looking for filo, or tahini, or truffle oil, or sun-dried whatever then look elsewhere... Just lighten up and order a #14 and find real peace and harmony watching the kids smiles...
