In 1993, Judy Fu opened Judy Fu's Snappy Dragon and it quickly became a popular destination for devotees of her Mandarin/ Szechuan style cooking. Food critics and fans alike appreciate Judy, respectfully (and affectionately) known as 'Fu-Ma,' for her graciousness, elegance and culinary skill.
A variety of authentic Chinese food is offered, like spicy beef noodles. Chef Judy Fu also makes her own sauces, such as Judy Fu's Black Bean Sauce and Judy Fu's Peanut Sauce, which are available for purchase.
Staff is available to help plan menus for holiday parties, office luncheons or other catering needs.

Most patrons are regulars and comfortably dressed in kick-back attire. Some take tables in the front room, but many head toward the back dining room and take a stool at the dumpling bar, where a cook continuously forms and steams the dumplings (jiao-zi). Specialties include tea-smoked duck, green-onion pancakes, salt-and-pepper prawns. House-made noodles and steamed dumplings, authentic clay hot pot and crisp, battered and fried eggplant slices in sugar-vinegar-soy sauce are also offered.

Just moved into the neighborhood a couple of months ago and discovered this place. Have been going there almost once a week since then. Great tasting food, friendly servers, never a rushed feeling, always fun to be in the dining room. A new favorite.

i went there the other night and the service was great. two of the employees, bennet and i believe nicholas were really accomodating. i am a recovering alcoholic and nicholas highly recommended a buckler... excellent choice to go with excellent food. having never been here before i asked bennet what to eat and he highly recommended the general tso, sesame beef, eggplant and sesame chicken and sweet and sour pork, so i got all of them... yum !!!! I can't believe they don't use msg. and a lot of left overs. the sauces were excellent and complemented each other well. the decor felt like my own living room and nicholas in fact informed me that many of the decorations came straight from the native sescatchwan province of china. much like the sescatchwan style of food. thanks again. the servers had a little trouble with their fluency in chinese but overall pretty good. it's nice to see a hip young wait staff at a chinese restaurant. go maplehill neighborhood.
