Best cooking classes to take your cooking to another level

A friend told me about Bon Viviant and I decided to take Mastering the Basics series to help my partner get excited about cooking and be more helpful in the kitchen. I was suprised that as an experienced cook I learned so much about the technique of cooking that it make my standard dishes so much better. I was so excited that I went on to take the Art of Fine Cuisine series and the International Cuisine series. What keeps me comming back for more classes is that the focus is not entirely on the recipies but the techique and the why things work or do not work. The classes have taken my confidence and cooking ability to another level. I can't recommend them highly enough. If you are looking for a series of classes to take your own home cooking to another level, you will not get a better value for your money and time.
- Pros: Great value and excellent instruction
A fun way to learn to cook

I took the Pasta, Polenta, Gnocchi and Risotto class at Bon Vivant. Louise Hasson has a great knowledge of Italian cooking and shared great techniques and even photographs from a cooking school she attended in Italy. The recipes were great and it was fun to sample all the different dishes.
- Pros: Delicious food, fun atmosphere.
