If you venture a bit further into West Seattle, drive out the scenic Harbor Avenue beyond Alki Point and to Beach Drive, you'll be handsomely rewarded with a dining experience like none other. A hidden treasure with an amazing view of the Puget Sound, La Rustica has been serving Seattle authentic Northern Italian cuisine for more than 12 years. Reminiscent of the small cafes in Italy, our dining room is cozy. On popular nights, there may be a wait so please be patient. Come enjoy a sunny summer afternoon on our outdoor patio and try favorites such as filet mignon al gorgonzola and marinated prawns wrapped in pancetta. Pair your dinner with our favorite dry Italian Lambrusco wine. Reservations are accepted for parties of 6-10. La Rustica also specialize in catering for weddings and small parties. A hidden find, La Rustica is tucked into a residential neighborhood overlooking Puget Sound. The menu is loaded with interesting possibilities, including spaghetti with garlic, mustard greens, chicken breast and chili peppers. Lamb shank--slow-braised with olive oil, rosemary and balsamic vinegar--is a specialty. The gnocchi con salsiccia nostra are rich dumplings (made creamy with ricotta) in tomato sauce with Italian sausage and Romano. Dessert options include chocolate decadence--a bittersweet spin on creme brulee.
