On Safari Foods catered a wedding 'getting to know you' South African style BBQ for 88 guests - on a beach in Olympia. The arrangements were complicated by the fact that we are from Boston, and do not know the area at all.

Even though the logistics were difficult, this event was handled with great skill.

The food was absolutely delicious, and won rave reviews by all our guests.

South African sausages and lamb and chicken kebabs were outstanding, as were the starters (smoked snoek pate, eggplant dip, and grilled prawns). Salads were fresh and varied.

Desserts were superb - melktert, meringues, fruit salad and Cape brandy tart were demolished by the appreciative crowd.

This event could not have been better - exceded our expectations by far.

This is a superb caterer, who handles difficult situations with grace and humor, and outstanding service.

The guests were still talking about the food at the wedding and the post-wedding brunch.

Five stars are well deserved.

Outstanding South African Cuisine

This is not a sit down restaurant, but a take-out deli and catering business. The food is outstanding, varied, and unusual. Most food is based on South African cuisine, but you will find something to titillate your palate here every day. One of the few caterers in Seattle that offers Kosher food.
