Nice and Careful Movers

This company is run by a very nice man that wants your move to go as well as he and his crew can make it. They took meticulous care in shrink wrapping and blanketing my specialty itemsThis extra effort makes me almost not care how long it took for my things to go back and forth. All pieces arrived in the same condition as they were in before they were moved. Thanks!

• Pros: Very Careful moving items.
• Cons: Drive time between two locations longer then expected

Great guys - we trust them!

1) We hired a different moving company 2 years ago when we moved. They showed up and said they couldn't park their truck anywhere near our place because they were scared about the pavement being too wet and the hill too steep. Long story - won't put it all in. Owner of the bad company called Sunshine Movers and they saved us! They showed up after they finished another job that day and worked late into the night in order to get us moved that day. What a relief! We thought we were going to have to pay another month's rent!

2) This time we called Sunshine Movers first to move us from our apartment into our new condo! They did a super job, friendly, efficient, were careful with our things, even brought extra boxes and protectors for our new wood floors! Amazing!

We recommend them to all our friends!

The no show moving company

Sunshine was due at 9am, never showed, never called, didn't respond to my calls. Left me stranded, also didn't bother to get back to me with estimate. Owner apparently just left for a month's vacation. Did you know that he rents out his company when he leaves town, according to him? Stay away.

We feel a need to respond to the negative, false and misleading posting on 11/9. The experience that this one time customer is referring to was a very unfortunate one for the business. We will try to explain the facts. This person, a young man, called to schedule a move of his family?s goods into storage. We scheduled the move for the next day. It was a large job, and took two days; one day for the packing and loading of the trucks, and the next to move the items into storage. This young man and his father agreed to pay for the move once the items were placed in storage, and the father signed the bill of lading. (Please note that we do not sign ?contracts? to receive payment at an undefined future date). When we arrived at the storage facility on the 2nd day the customer was not there to meet us. We instead received a call from the young man who told us that he was at an important business meeting and promised to pay us ?tomorrow?. We took the customer at his word and moved the items into storage, with the account in the name of Sunshine Movers. But we didn?t receive payment the following day, as the customer didn?t call or return our calls for two weeks. This pattern continued for the next four months, with the customer promising to pay, making arrangements to meet for payment, and then not appearing for the appointment. Because the storage account was in our name we were forced to pay the storage fees every month. We followed the law as stated by the Washington Transportation and Utilities Commission, and sent this customer a letter stating that the goods would be salvaged due to non-payment. We waited an additional 30 days, as stated in the law, and when payment was still not received we liquidated the goods. Our company took a substantial loss. This was a very unfortunate experience, and we sincerely hope it won?t happen again.

Smooth move, recommended

Sunshine Movers was recommended to me by a friend. I gave them a call and was impressed by the manager of the business, he was very responsive and took time to answer my questions. I had a couple of special requests and he was able to handle them easily. He even disassembled and reassembled some of my furniture during my move without any extra hassle or any extended amount of time. So my move was easy and hassle free, and I was glad to have the recommendation.
