Not a secret anymore. Trader Joes is my alltime favorite grocery store, and I find 95% of what I need there with an occasional trip necessary to the bigger chain stores. I love TJ's for their selection of reasonably priced gourmet and organic items. I agree with other posts that the wine selection isn't the best, but I can almost find a really good table wine at a decent price - equivilent to what Larry's would promote as a great "sale" price. The freezer section is fabulous, I cringe to admit that I have made many dinners from that freezer section and taken credit for making it myself. Got rave reviews :o). You have to try the frozen asparagus risotto, no one will believe it came in a bag - and you don't have to tell them!

Some Real Treasures Here. Trader Joe's isn't your one stop grocery store, but what they do have is choice, reasonably priced, and gourmet. They have great brie cheese at great prices, wonderful sushi, and the best pizza dough I have ever had.

Hello?. TJ's is a great store but putting their wine department on this list is saying you haven't tried many wine shops. They have great, oddball wines you'll never find anywhere else (an $11 Amarone!!) and their prices are great but their selection is woefully small and they sell, let's face it, a whole LOTTA crap. If you want to see a REALLY great small shop, try Capri in Bellevue, the best 100 square feet of wine in the state. TJ's is fine but C'mon!

Cheap wine!. Trader Joe's is a great store with a super selection of prepared foods (their frozen Key Lime Pie is the best I've had). Their wine selection is extensive with a lot of very inexpensive selections. They apparently only mark up by 10%.
