Editorial Review for Allstar Fitness – by Citysearch Editors

The Scene
If you want to relax while releasing stress, this gym's subdued atmosphere is for you. Mostly young-to-middle-aged professionals work toward all-star bodies in the club's jam-packed cardio room, mirrored aerobics studio and two weight rooms. This mid-priced club also boasts a pool, a wide variety of weight-lifting equipment, on-site personal trainers, nutrition counseling and a large number of class offerings (more than 25). As a bonus, equipment is frequently replaced by newer versions.

These gyms look the glitz and glam with low quality sub par equipment. Weight rooms are very limited as far as no hammer strength equipment and dumbbells max at 100lbs. Over priced for what you actually get from the gym. Company and management are very sleezy do not care about the customer but merely trying to stay open for another year. The only club that gets members is west seattle because they can afford 50bucks a month per person and its the only gym on the island! This place is a joke and i would not recommend it. They shut down monroe facility without telling any employees and took members paid in full memberships and personal training thousands of dollars not reimbersed.

Pros: nice facility

Cons: crappy management, expensive, lack of equipment

2 Star Rating: Below Average

The facilites have a basement feel, but are otherwise OK. Management was pretty rude and believes in hard selling tactics. ("If you don't come in by tomorrow, the prices will change. After tomorrow, if I honor the same prices the money will come out of my pocket.") I understand they have a new General Manager, so I am hoping that the attitude will change.

Pros: Location

Cons: Selling style, basement feel
