A very good dentist. I've been going to Dr. Ong for at least five years. I've seen many other dentists over my 63 years and Dr. Ong is one of my favorites. And he's reasonable, too. The prior dentist I went too had all kinds of goodies like nitrous oxide and eye candy, but he cost a fortune. Furthermore, Dr. Ong doesn't do anything that is not necessary and he has saved me many trips by solving minor problems during a normal 6-month cleaning. Other dentists make you come back for a second appointment. Dr. Ong is also very personable and spends just the right about of time in chit-chat before getting to business. I highly recommend Dr. Ong.

Best Dentist in Lower Queen Ann. I have seen many dentist over the years . I had a lot of work done by previous dentist. I am so glad that I found this place. Dr Ong is the first dentist I saw that really go thru all your options and prices. I had several crowns replaced. He did an excellent job in matching the color of my 2 front crowns. I am very happy with the results, my friends cannot even tell that there was a crown on the front tooth. Their prices are lower than most dentist in downtown, I got my permanent crown in 1 week, where in most places, i had to wait 2 -3 weeks. If you need a crown, go to this place.

Very Good Dentist. Going to the dentist is not my favorite activity by any means. However, having good healthy teeth is very important. I’ve been going to Uptown Family Dentistry for a little over 2 years. I have found that Dr. Ong and his staff are very caring, professional and skilled with teeth cleaning and procedures. They will listen to your concerns and explain the recommended treatment. I have had very challenging dental experiences in the past so am glad to have found a dentist that is gentle, good at dentistry without an outrageous price. I have found no pain with Novocain injections. If there is ever something I feel needs corrected they will schedule an appointment and fix the concern. I would recommend this dentist as a smart choice.

Great Dentist. It's a small office and the dentist does all his cleaning. He's very gentle and thorough compared to the hygienist I saw 1 yr ago in LA. The dentist is very good with the shots and the staff place me at ease. I have a very pleasant experience here and will strongly recommend this place.

Great Dentist. I was in a lot of pain for the past few days, they were able to get me in for an emergency root canal, I felt a lot better afterwards, Dr. Ong even call me at home that night to check on me. The staff is very accomodating and will work out a payment plan with you if you need it.

I have recommended all my friends and officemates to come here.

TERRIBLE. Going here was absolutely the WORST dental/medical/business experience of my life.

The office and all of their equipment is seriously outdated. I showed up 5 minutes early to my appointment and waited another 15 before anyone even noticed that I was there.

Dr. Ong not only decided to fill my cavities WHILE cleaning my teeth (no joke- he'd clean a little, work on the filling a little, and it went back and forth like that for nearly two hours), but he also decided that I NEEDED white fillings on my BACK teeth, which are significantly more expensive than silver, and completely unnecessary. His assistant had her spray/suction device so far back in my mouth that I was constantly gagging and trying to swallow. She never moved it. When I left the receptionist had a hard time figure out what to do with my insurance and how I was supposed to be billed.

Cue two days later- I'm eating lunch when I suddenly have intense stabbing pain in the back of my mouth- where one of my fillings WAS. Yep, half of it broke and came out. I called and asked them to reverse my insurance claim, so that I'd be able to go in somewhere else and have my tooth repaired (note on that- it's more than two months later, and I'm still waiting on the refund from my deductible- I just called and had the receptionist chew me out and blame my insurance company. RIGHT)

When I went in to get my tooth repaired (this is at a new dentist) he discovered that not only had my filling broken in half, but Dr. Ong had also ground down the tooth next to it, AND drilled so far into my "repaired" tooth that he had actually caused nerve damage to the point of me needing to get an emergency root canal.

Several thousand dollars, tons of pain and tears, and two months later- I still haven't seen a penny from Dr. Ong, and he continues to deny that he had any part in damaging any of my teeth. He and his staff have been rude, argumentative, and unwilling to hear my side of things.

I have filed a claim with my insurance company, and am working on another with the BB Bureau, as well as Washington's dental licensing board. Hopefully no one else will have to go through what I have.

DO NOT GO HERE.

The best ever!. I have never experienced a better dentist service than Uptown Dentist. I have a new dental plan through work and was given a list of local offices. I was really unsure about choosing them, since I had gone to my old doctor since I was little. All my co workers suggested him. It was easy to make an appointment, and was able to get in right away. When I got there they were very helpful and friendly. Dr. Ong was right there the whole time instead of having his assistant do all the work and then only coming in to check up on her work. He was able to schedule a root canal for me the very next day, and work out a payment plan for me. It was done quickly and efficiently. The best part was he called me 4 hours later to see if I was doing okay and if I was experiencing any pain. No one does that anymore! It just goes to show that he really cares about his patients. I will definitely be using them from now on and hope that you give them a try, you won?t regret it.

Excellent Dentist in Lower Queen Ann. I saw Dr. Ong for an emergency root canal 2 weeks ago, good chairside manner, got me in same day and got me out of pain. Will surely go back to see him. Parking is behind building and great front desk staff !

Better Dental Offices in Queen Anne. The low rating is not because of Dr. Ong's abilities, but the financial aspects of the office. The person who works the finance department is rude and difficult to work with. Moreover, the fees for services are way more expensive than other dental offices in Queen Anne. If you're a Delta Dental member, make sure you call around different offices because you may be surprised the difference in fees for the same procedure.
