Editorial Review for Sixth Avenue Inn – by Gayot.com
The Scene
This hotel is a step above the standard budget chain--and a few steps below the Seattle Westin across the street, even though the Starwood company owns them both. This is the kind of place to stay when money is an object, location is important and all you really need is a clean, safe place to hang your hat.
The Details
The first thing to keep in mind is that the awning-covered walkway off the street leads to the restaurant, not the lobby. The lobby is located on the floor below next to the driveway. The guest rooms are somewhat plain, but they are light and decent in size, considering the price. Accommodations have all the amenities you'd expect, including alarm clock radios and cable TV.

Insider Tips
ParkingThere aren't quite as many spaces as there are rooms, but the lot rarely fills up completely.
Know Before You GoEast side rooms, on an alley, are less noisy than Sixth-Avenue-facing rooms.
User Reviews for Sixth Avenue Inn

I had read several reviews online about the Sixth Avenue Inn and was a little worried when I made my reservation. When I arrived I was greated by the sweetest lady at the Front Desk, she helped me plan my activities and transportation. I stayed there for three nights and she greeted me everytime I walked in the hotel and remembered where I had gone and even asked about it! The same was true in the restaurant and bar. The bartendars aer funny and a little rough, but it works here. The location was great, walking distance to everything. The rooms are basic but they just got new beds so I slept really well. The girl at the desk said they were going to renovate this year. I am still preplexed as to why this hotel got such bad reviews. I think it is one of those situations where people who write bad reviews expect Westin quality for under $100.00, in other words they are dreaming! I will stay here again when I come to Seattle. Love this little Inn.
Pros: Service was terrific
Cons: Furniture is a little dated, but they say they are updating soon

This has to be the friendlist hotel I have ever stayed in. This is a budget hotel with lots of heart. I found the rooms clean, comfortable and definately affordable. The service was terrific, as was the food in the restaurant. I will stay here again for business or pleasure.
Pros: Location, Price, Service
