SEATTLE'S BEST C.D. AND RECORD SHOPPE
by prettydolly at Citysearch
Wall Of Sound is the only place in Seattle I am able to find certain genres of music that I need. Often I find myself ordering online, only ot catch myself and call Wall Of Sound and find that It's three blocks away. They carry very hard to find music. I want to consider it a specialty music store, but then I find that if the music is good, often times they are likely to carry slightly more mainstream c.d.s. That fact creats a non-pretensious atmosphere that is often run into is specialty stores of any kind. There is also a great selection of outsider art publications and smaller releases of comics and writing. I love it here.
- Pros: eclectic, great location, selection

i really like this store. the people are very helpful, you can listen to any cd before buying, and they have the best selection of obscure music in seattle. when i first moved here from the east coast i was worried, then i discovered wall of sound and everything turned out alright. it is a shame that ear and eye control went of business though...
- Pros: selection, helpful, well lit
- Cons: parking, not cheap, not enough french
