Editorial Review for Daniel's Broiler – by Allison Austin
The Scene
With wall-to-wall windows framing views of Lake Washington and Mount Rainier, the dining room is full of light and has a rustic, rough-hewn, lived-in feel. Hurricane lamps anchor marble tables crowded with families with kids, older couples on dates and pre-prom teens dressed to the nines. Unlike its Bellevue and Lake Union counterparts, the bar is only half full on Friday nights, with nary a miniskirt in sight.
The Food
In keeping with classic steakhouse tradition, you'll pass by dinner on the way to the dining room: Raw, prime-grade, corn-fed beef steaks sit idle under plastic wrap for your perusal. Choose the hefty 24-ounce porterhouse, skillfully seared beneath an 1,800-degree broiler. Steaks are generally done right, though occasionally overdone. Not in the mood for steak? Grilled lamb chops with pepper jelly also fares well.

Insider Tips
What to DrinkFor a corporate restaurant, there's a commendable selection of familiar varietals, as well as some more obscure choices, with a focus on Northwest wines. Be ready to spend $40 or more for most bottles.

One of the best in Seattle! My boyfriend took me here for my first time and I love it! I have to say, I had a better experience here than the Metropolitan Grill. We made reservations, and were seated promptly. We were seated by the window so we had an amazing view. The restaurant was somewhat loud but still romantic. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, and had to be one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! We also ordered the banana bread pudding which was very rich but tasty. Our server was very attentive and professional, always refilled our drinks without even having to ask. Although the price is somewhat high compared to other steak houses, it was worth it. I would definitely dine here again for future special occasions. You won’t be disappointed!

My husband took me to Daniel's Broiler for my birthday in January. I have to say it was the BEST filet mignon I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection. If I could afford it I would go once a week but I have to wait for a special occasion. The staff were all so nice, answered all questions and very attentive to all our needs. On our way out a manager greeted us as we got our coats and asked about our expirence. This was a nice touch.
Pros: The finest piece of meat you will ever have!
Cons: price
