What People Are Saying About Daniel's Broiler - Leschi

The Scene – With wall-to-wall windows framing views of Lake Washington and Mount Rainier, the dining room is full of light and has a rustic, rough-hewn, lived-in feel. Hurricane lamps anchor marble tables crowded with families with kids, older couples on dates and pre-prom teens dressed to the nines. Unlike its Bellevue and Lake Union counterparts, the bar is only half full on Friday nights, with nary a miniskirt in sight. – – The Food – In keeping with classic steakhouse tradition, you'll pass by dinner on the way to the dining room: Raw, prime-grade, corn-fed beef…
Best food & service in town

Dinner is always fantastic at Daniel's, and of the 3, I love this one for the feel it has...it is like an enclave in this sort of forgotten Seattle neighborhood of Leschi. My wife and I had dinner Aug 26th and start to finish it was the best of dinners of 2009 for us. The Manager Ira is an amazing host, and always makes my wife and I feel like his favorite friends, the service is always superb (we had Bev taking care of us this time, and she is wonderful), and the view is simply the best in town…watching Mt. Rainer go from blue and white through gold and orange and Bellevue lighting up across the lake…WOW!!
- Pros: View, awesome food, amazing service
- Cons: nothing
Adverse stomach reaction

I took my wife and infant son to dinner at Daniel's Broiler on a Monday evening (8/24/09). I didn't have anything to eat 4 hours prior or 4 hours after our $175 dinner. It was a nice view, but very overpriced and our waiter was a bit cold towards us. I have a really strong stomach and rarely get sick. However, I started sweating profusely and emptying my stomach of its contents just a couple hours after getting back to our hotel. After ridding the food from my system, I felt just fine the rest of our trip. Maybe the restaurant was trying to stretch out their mileage on the meat purchased for the weekend crowds or hadn't received their weekly shipment. Nevertheless, I won't be returning to Daniel's the next time I'm in Seattle.
- Pros: Nice view, kind bus person, cool interior design
- Cons: Stuffy atmosphere, food can make you very ill
Great food and views

I've been to the Lake Union Daniel's several times for HH and dinner. The drinks (martinis) are always superbly crafted, the HH food is OK (it's HH, after all) but the steaks we've had there have always been tops. I didn't realize how tops it was till after eating at Jak's Grill. Jak's was above average but Daniel's was even better. The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is the waitstaff which can be inconsistent in service depending on the crowds.
- Pros: Food, Views on Lake Union, HH
- Cons: Servers can be inconsistent
One of the best steakhouses in Seattle!

One of the best in Seattle!
My boyfriend took me here for my first time and I love it! I have to say, I had a better experience here than the Metropolitan Grill. We made reservations, and were seated promptly. We were seated by the window so we had an amazing view. The restaurant was somewhat loud but still romantic. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, and had to be one of the best steaks I?ve ever had! We also ordered the banana bread pudding which was very rich but tasty. Our server was very attentive and professional, always refilled our drinks without even having to ask. Although the price is somewhat high compared to other steak houses, it was worth it. I would definitely dine here again for future special occasions. You won?t be disappointed!

My husband took me to Daniel's Broiler for my birthday in January. I have to say it was the BEST filet mignon I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection. If I could afford it I would go once a week but I have to wait for a special occasion.
The staff were all so nice, answered all questions and very attentive to all our needs. On our way out a manager greeted us as we got our coats and asked about our expirence. This was a nice touch.
- Pros: The finest piece of meat you will ever have!
- Cons: price
