The Scene – Since it belongs to the ever-present McMenamins chain, it's a pleasant surprise that Six Arms fits so well into Capitol Hill's independent spirit. The planning is certainly obvious--it's got that upscale-grunge look--but nothing feels forced. Big, funky dark wood booths and a fine selection of ales make this a real neighborhood joint. Servers are quick with suggestions and happy to check with the kitchen on special orders. – – The Draw – Cocktails are on the menu, but housebrewed beer holds the place of honor. I just do not get it
by richard98101
I like the location but everything else is below par. The sandwiches are like the "Honey Hole" (dry, uneventful, over priced) and the beer is not so good.............
The price for beer and their food is too high.............I just do not get it; why people rave and rave about this place. Oh well, next they will put hanging ferns in the window and then I will get it.
- Pros: Nice place but stinks of smoke
- Cons: Lousy parking
Great Food, Lame Server
by SeaGal20
I have gone here for lunch a few times and thought the food was excellent! Plus the decor is awesome...fits in well with the area. I really liked the tofu burrito and there was so much I couldn't even eat it all! The service was mediocre, and I had the same server both times. He was unenthusiastic and clearly didn't want to be there. I'm not going to judge a place on one server who's having a bad day, so yes! I definitely recommend Six Arms!
- Pros: Great food and price
- Cons: lame service
OK food, AWFUL STAFF
by jac011
I had the worst experience here. The service was terrible and rude. Our party of 6 waited 25 minutes for our drinks. The server approached the table and called my friend "very rude" with no cause. At that point I went to speak with the manager, who was also the barternder?? Not a good plan.... She was no help at all and put her hand in my face and said "let me talk." Very strange and terrible experience. They really need to clean house with their staff and start again!
- Pros: Its in the city
- Cons: terrible service and food
