What People Are Saying About Galerias

In Short – Sheer draperies, sun-yellow walls, wrought-iron chandeliers, metal-encased menus that double as barbells and a spacious lounge create the feeling of a Mexican B-movie set. Entrees like the Maria Christina Frias feature a huge coconut-covered shrimp with spicy dipping sauce. The chilies en Nogada offers two poblanos filled with beef, pork, apples, pears, almonds and a light walnut ranchero. The corn ice cream wrapped in a soft tortilla is big enough for two.
Editor's Tips
- What to Drink:
- Order a margarita with some of the fanciest tequilas in town, plus fresh juices.
Cool food / Poor service
by PBee at Citysearch
A friend invited me to go to a meeting at Galerias on and I must say I am embarrassed for my friend. First I ordered coffee and what I was served was cold coffee. When I asked for some hot coffee the waiter, I'm told, rolled his eyes at me. When my dinner came it was only luke warm, (Chicken Fajitas should be sizzling hot), and there were no tortillas. As for my friend, her dinner was not served until after everyone else had finished and the meeting was ready to adjourn. Her dinner had to be boxed and taken home.
Gross Food, Horrible Service

My wife found a not one but several hairs in her meal. That
that aside the food was very bad, I've had better and more authentic dishes at Taco Bell. Server was extremely rude as well.

My husband and I visit frequently, usually for brunch. The food is truly wonderful. For those familiar with Mexico, you will be delighted with the menu as there are very few restuarants offering a true taste of Mexican cuisine. (my husband is from Mexico and this is one of two Mexican restaurants that he will recommend in the greater Seattle area). Ruben, the owner, is warm, welcoming and very personable.
- Pros: ambiance, location, parking is fairly easy to find
Great food, great fun

This is an amazing Mexican restaurant. The food is creative and delicious. The setting is sophisticated and fun. And the price are very reasonable given the quality. Try it. You will not be sorry.
- Pros: Authentic Mexican foood, great prices, fun setting
- Cons: None
Great Dinner Spot!
by Moebuddy at Citysearch
This place has great mexican food that's different from the usual taco's and burritos fare. While the service can be percieved as a little bit quirky, the reviews that say they have bad service are WAY off base. I'm been many a times and have had nothing but good service. I go to this palce for the food. GREAT stuffed chiliies, steak, and everything else. If you want tacos and a big bean and cheese gut bomb, you'll be dissapointed, but if you want great quality Mexican food that's not typical, go here!
- Pros: The Food is terrific
- Cons: None!
