not greasy, and great BURGERS of all things. Love the fried catfish fillet -- they are crisp, and tender inside, without being greasy. More like a pile of catfish fingers, not a large single serving piece that you'd usually get at a southern restaurant. I don't know how they fry so ungreasily. They used to have really great chicken wings that were also crunchy and not greasy but those changed to greasy dried up things.

The big surprise here is the burger. Fresh and juicy and meaty, like a great burger grilled up in your own backyard.

I'd recommend paying with cash. But still love the place.

Not a family friendly Atmosphere. I am a Black male married to the same woman for 20 years, she is Asian. We do not get good service at all when we go we have to wait about 40 minutes for our order. Even though there is a diverse patronage me and my family are discourged from eating there. I love their Buffalo fish but I will start eating else where. My family comfort and respect is most important. Maybe ownership will wake and hang around and make sure the employees use appropriate manners and behavior.

Scary.. Hmmm... let me be blunt: filthy (don't bother going to the restroom, you get the idea in the service area), the food took over an hour to get to us and there was only two other people in the place, and the service was apathetic at best. The food is fairly good, but the ambiance and prices completely negates it.

Editorial Review by Jena Vuylsteke. Featuring Cajun catfish and fried hushpuppies, this restaurant brings a taste of Southern comfort to Seattle.

Enjoyable. I visited a couple of weeks ago and had great food and found the woman who took my order very pleasant and helpful. I'd go more often but I would have to workout twice as much to counteract all calories from the terrific fried catfish and hush puppies!

Good and bad. Good fish...good hush puppies...good yams...a little pricy for soul food...service was outstanding...will go back, especially for the gumbo on Wednesdays.

Stop being cheap!!. I must say the food is excellent but I haven't been back lately. As much money as they bring in some of it should go back into the place. It needs painting, new lighting, new booths (one is broken and has been for quite awhile) It was hot as an oven my last visit. Does the air conditioning work? The lighting fixtures in each booth need to be replaced. And the fall leaf arrangements on each table in the summer have to go. And why not refills on ice tea? The owner who is always at the cash register needs customer service skills. Sometimes I notice she can be very rude to staff as well as customers. I won't be back.

Customer Service. I was very disappointed in the service at this Southern Restaurant. The food was the best southern cooking that you can get away from home. But, customer service should be your number 1 priority, so that your customers return time and time again and they recommend it to all their friends and family. I had heard how wonderful the food was so I took my daughter and friend to eat and we all ordered catfish dinners and sweet ice tea, unfortuately the ice tea did not taste like ice tea, so I told the lady working the counter that the tea tasted more like lemonade then ice tea and could we have sodas instead of the tea. She told me that we got what we ordered and charged me for the additional sodas. I feel the cost of the sodas is very small compared to having dissatified customers.
