The Scene – Beautiful women and men of all ages make up the crowd, and the vibe is simply joyous and pressure-free--absolutely no boundaries apply. Century ballroom is fabulous, diverse, simply great. If you're looking for a casual (but possibly formal) spot to let loose and dance the night away, this is it. The crowd ranges from young teens to those pushing 100, and everyone in between. Some come in jeans and sneakers, others in heels and dresses, suits, retro attire - anything goes. Check out their shedule online, they have a variety of events and classes to suit everyone. I would reccomend sunday night swing - it's usually not too crowded, and parking is easy to find. If you come at 9 (dancing starts at 9:30) you can get a table and a free begginer's lesson, very helpful for the first-timer. The ballroom itself is old-style glamour, with a beautiful chandellier, velvet curtains, and a charming balcony. Check out Century - it's a great place to meet new people. You won't be dissapointed.
- Pros: , Inexpensive, Atmosphere
- Cons: Sometimes crowded, Parking
