Affordable Mexican fare in a bright, comfortable setting.. In Short
Since most of the staff in this sunny taqueria speaks little English, any español at all will help when ordering. Meats--including cabeza (beef cheeks), slow-cooked carnitas (pork) and even lengua (tongue)--are marinated in chili-infused marinades. The menu offers everything from flautas to whole fried fish. The taco is your choice of fish, meats or veggies wrapped in two grilled corn tortillas.

Take your snobby Californian friends. We tried the Capitol Hill location, which had good food over the course of three visits. Overall, though, Id say the chain as a whole is one of the few taquerias in the Seattle area worthy of the name.
